Ecological studies on the community structure of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are generally restricted to the main rooting zone from 10 to 25 cm soil depth A total number of 10 species of fungi were isolated and the number of fungi was found to be maximum in rhizosphere region than the non-rhizosphere region.
