The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release a detailed notification for University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) November 2017 today. The online registration for UGC-NET November 2017 will begin from August 1 and the last date for application is scheduled to be August 30. CBSE will conduct NET November 2017 in 84 subjects at the selected 90 NET Examination Cities across India.
CBSE conducts UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for testing the eligibility of candidates for the positions of Assistant Professor only or for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges. As per the notification on its official website - cbsenet.nic.in; CBSE will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor on November 5th 2017 (Sunday) and the detailed notification will be made available today i.e. July 24th 2017.
After the UGC-NET November 2017, the candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible to pursue research in the main subject of their post-graduation degree or in any other related subject. These candidates will also be eligible for Assistant Professor posts. The JRF awardees could be selected by various universities, institutions, IITs and other national organizations for full-time research as per the procedures prescribed by them.
The UGC-NET conducts three papers and the performance of the candidate in these three papers decides if he/she gets awarded as a JRF and the eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR for eligibility for Assistant Professor alone. The candidates who qualify as Assistant Professors only will not be considered for the award of Junior Research Fellow. |
