Abstract :

This research critically examines the Indo-British encounter as the dominant theme in Rumer Godden’s novels Black Narcissus, Breakfast with the Nikolides, and Kingfishers Catch Fire. These works portray British characters grappling with India’s cultural, emotional, and psychological landscape during the waning days of the British Empire.
